Nurture Assessments is built around tasks students hand in, with AI-drafted feedback that teachers review, inside Microsoft Teams or Canvas.

Signal is built around the lesson itself. Live checks, hinge questions and engagement check-ins show you where the class is while you’re still teaching, before anything is handed in. Its Assessments also cover much of what Nurture Assessments does, including students uploading their work, due dates and feedback.

Many schools use both: Signal to check understanding in the moment, Assessments for longer pieces of work.
