It’s been a big month for Nurture. Signal has grown a whole new way to plan, run and reflect on sessions, while Assessments makes it clearer than ever what’s happening when AI builds an assignment for you. Here’s what teachers, students and hosts will notice.
Nurture Assessments
- AI assignment creation is easier to follow, start to finish: Attach source material for Nurture to draw on, and watch your questions and success criteria build up live as they’re generated, with a clear retry if a generation ever comes up short instead of a blank form. The marking scheme now comes together as its own step, you can see exactly which curriculum references were used, and there’s no longer a limit on how many documents you can attach.
Nurture Signal
- Build a session with AI: Describe what you want, or hand over a lesson plan or a file, and Nurture drafts a whole session — or just one question — for you to edit before you use it.
- Organise sessions into groups and folders: Group your sessions under a class or cohort with its own colour and icon, with an insights view across everything inside it, filterable by date and student.
- Plan your questions ahead of time: Prepare a full set of questions, including hinge questions, before a session starts, then release each one exactly when you want it.
- Look back, run it again, take it with you: Step back through a finished session exactly as it happened, duplicate one to run with another class, or export a session — or a student’s individual insights — as a PDF.
- Reflection that fits how you teach: Choose a reflection framework, drop reflection checkpoints into a session, or run a reflection-only session. Students now explain why they chose their answer, and you can see how long they spent reviewing feedback and reflecting.
- Quick check-ins: Run a no-right-answer poll to take the temperature of the room, or add checkpoints so students can check in on how they’re feeling about their learning whenever you choose.
- Bring in a co-host, and preview before you go live: Promote a colleague to co-host so you can run a session together, and step through a session as a student will see it before anyone joins.
- More say in how a session runs: Decide whether students can only answer the question currently posted, whether they need to explain their answers, and whether reactions are switched on.
