Understanding the data
Automatic flags come from AI reading the student’s reason. It is designed to count short working, such as “45/3” or “0.18 × 250”, as reasoning, but it can still get it wrong, so check a flagged answer before acting on it.
If you disagree:
- Open the menu on that answer.
- Switch Potential guess or Low effort off.
You can also switch them on for an answer the AI didn’t flag. Your choice always replaces the AI’s, and the AI never changes it back. Results and recommendations update to match.
Answers flagged as low effort are also left out of AI insights, so one-word answers don’t skew the summary.
