Understanding the data
Each screen counts something different, so the numbers can legitimately disagree.
- The AI insight on a question only reads answers that came with a written explanation. Students who wrote nothing, or whose answer was flagged as low effort, are left out. So “all 12 correct” can mean the 12 students who explained their answer were all right.
- The session totals count every answer as simply right or wrong.
- The move on, recap or reteach recommendation counts a correct answer flagged as a guess as half a correct answer.
A saved AI insight can also be out of date if more answers came in after it was made. Signal tells you when that happens, so you can regenerate it.
To see every student’s answer at once, use the right and wrong grid.
