The student experience
In an Assessment, yes. While a student is working, the answers they’ve moved past are saved and show in each question’s responses marked Partial. The student shows as In progress.
Partial answers aren’t scored, marked, exported or passed back as grades. For a file upload question, you see the file names but can’t open files that haven’t been submitted.
If an Assessment closes before a student submits, nothing is submitted for them automatically. Reopen it if they need to finish.
If you show feedback after each answer, every answer a student checks counts as a real answer, so it shows normally even if they never finish. In a Live Quiz, you see every answer a student sent.
