Can students submit handwritten or written work?

Yes, in Live Quizzes and Assessments. Add a file upload question and students answer by uploading a photo of their working, a scanned worksheet or a PDF. You open each file from their answer.

Students can upload up to 10 files per answer: JPEG, PNG, WEBP or PDF, up to 20 MB each and 40 MB in total. Photos taken with an iPad or phone camera are usually converted automatically, but HEIC files saved elsewhere are rejected.

On Premium, AI can read the files and mark them against your success criteria or mark scheme, as it does a written answer. Engage sessions don’t have file upload questions.
