Getting started and joining
Signal doesn’t use passwords. Depending on how your school has set it up, students sign in in one of these ways:
- with their email address, and a six-digit code Signal sends to it;
- with their school Microsoft account;
- with a Google account.
Some schools use Microsoft sign-in only. If students sign in with Microsoft and see an Approval required screen, the school’s Microsoft administrator needs to approve Nurture Signal once for the whole school.
If sign-in is slowing a lesson down, allow guest students for that session so students can join with just their name.
