Getting started and joining
Guest joining is off for that session. New sessions start that way unless your school has chosen otherwise, so students are asked to sign in with their email address whichever way they arrived.
To let them in without signing in:
- Open the session and choose the three dots menu.
- Choose Edit session details.
- Turn on Allow guest students, then save.
You can do this with the session already running, and students who were stuck can then join with just their name.
If the switch is greyed out, either your school has switched guest joining off, or limited joining to school email addresses, or you’re a co-host and only the teacher who created the session can change it. In those cases students need to sign in.
