What’s the easiest way to start using Signal?

Start small. Pick one of these for your next lesson:

• a 60-second retrieval check on last lesson’s key idea;
• one hinge question at the point where you’d normally ask “everyone OK?”;
• an exit ticket at the end of the lesson.

A Live Quiz with one multiple choice question is enough. Make each wrong option a misconception you expect, and ask students to explain their answer. Allow guest students for the first go, so nobody gets stuck signing in.

Once you’ve seen how quickly the class picture comes back, add a question after each part of the lesson, then try other session types.
