Yes, in three ways:
- write or rewrite a single question from a prompt;
- generate several questions while a session runs;
- generate a whole session from a topic, or from your own files, such as a lesson plan, slides or a past paper.
Signal writes questions for checking understanding: multiple choice questions where each wrong option points to a misconception, with students explaining their reasoning. If you’ve added curriculum documents to the classroom, Signal draws on them too.
AI-written questions are drafts. Edit, add or remove questions before you use them. Before a Live Quiz or Assessment goes live, Signal asks you to confirm you’ve checked any AI-written question you haven’t looked at. AI-drafted check-ins in an Engage session wait for you to send them.
One exception: questions AI adds to an Assessment that is already running reach students straight away, so check them as you add them.
