Editing your Classroom Settings & Curriculum Boundary on Nurture

After your initial setup, you can come back to your classroom settings at any time to make changes. This is where you update your subject, adjust your students’ reading age, manage notifications, and most importantly, keep your curriculum boundary up to date.

Your curriculum boundary works best when it reflects where you currently are in your course. As the year goes on, you might want to remove documents that are no longer relevant and add new ones. This keeps the Nurture AI Assistant focused on what matters right now.

How to access your classroom settings

1. On the Nurture homepage, click the settings cog on the far right of the screen (beside the New Task button).
2. Select Classroom Settings from the available options.

What you can change

From here you can update:

• Your subject (reselect or change it).
• Your students’ reading age.
• Notification preferences for you and your students (toggle on or off).

Editing your curriculum boundary

1. Scroll to the bottom of the Classroom Settings screen. Your uploaded curriculum documents are listed here.
2. To delete a document that is no longer relevant, select the bin icon beside it.
3. To upload new documents, select Click to upload and choose your files.
4. To download a document you uploaded previously, select the cloud icon beside it.

Good to know

• We recommend keeping your curriculum boundary between 8 and 15 documents. More than 15 can make things less focused for the Nurture AI Assistant.
• Think of this as ongoing maintenance. If you have moved on from a particular unit or topic, removing old documents and adding new ones helps the Assistant stay accurate to where your class is right now.
• Remember, your curriculum boundary is the overarching brain for the Assistant across this class. You can still upload individual documents (like a marking scheme) to a specific task, but the boundary is what shapes everything at a foundational level.
