Creating Tasks from Past Exam Questions

If you have a past exam question or paper, you can upload it and Nurture will take the exact questions from it and add pedagogy-aligned success criteria. This works the same way as uploading a worksheet: no new questions are generated, and no questions are edited.

How it works

1. Select Upload a past exam question when creating a new task.
2. Upload the exam paper or question.
3. Optionally select documents from your curriculum boundary to help inform the success criteria.
4. Click Generate Task.

What you get

• The exact questions from the exam, pulled in verbatim (including sub-questions).
• Success criteria added by the Nurture AI Assistant (aligned to Dylan Wiliam’s pedagogy).
• The option to generate a marking scheme or upload your own.

A note on images

Nurture cannot extract images from a source document and add them into the task description. However, text-based sources are reproduced in the description. For anything visual (diagrams, maps, photographs), the original document is available to students as an attachment. They can open the source directly and reference it while answering the questions.

If the source document is not showing as an attachment for students, upload it again to make sure they have access.
