My student doesn't see their feedback
Teacher
Why a student usually cannot see their feedback (reviewing and publishing are separate steps) and what to check.
Updated 15 July 2026
If a student says they can’t see their feedback, it’s almost always because the feedback hasn’t been published to them yet. Reviewing a student and publishing to them are two separate steps.
Check:
- Has the student been reviewed? They need a feedback comment (and a score, if the task is graded) filled in.
- Have you published? On the student list, the purple Publish Feedback button is what actually releases feedback to students.
- Was this student held back? If their feedback or score was left empty when you published, they’d have been skipped. Fill it in and publish again.
Your student list shows each student as needs review, reviewed but not published, or published. That tells you exactly where each student stands.
