Creating Tasks from Worksheets in Nurture

Upload a worksheet and Nurture keeps your exact questions, adding pedagogy-aligned success criteria on top.

Watch the video above, or follow the steps below.

If you already have a worksheet with questions you want to keep, this is the quickest way to bring it into Nurture. Upload it, and Nurture extracts the exact questions from the worksheet and adds pedagogy-aligned success criteria on top. No new questions are generated and no questions are edited.

This is the key difference from starting from scratch: here, your questions stay exactly as they are. Nurture just adds the success criteria.

How it works

  1. Select Upload a worksheet when creating a new task.
  2. Upload your worksheet file.
  3. Optionally select documents from your curriculum boundary to help inform the success criteria.
  4. Click Generate Task.

What you get

  • Your exact questions from the worksheet, unchanged.
  • Success criteria added by the Nurture AI Assistant (typically three to five, aligned to Dylan Wiliam’s pedagogy).
  • Maximum marks which you can adjust.
  • The option to generate a marking scheme with AI or upload your own.

You can edit any of these further with AI before assigning. That is covered in the Refining and Editing tutorial.

Key point: the purpose of this method is to take a worksheet you already trust and add success criteria to it. If you want Nurture to generate new questions, use Start from Scratch instead.
